Powder coating is the finish applied to metal and non-metal objects to provide a decorative and functional finish. Powder coating is normally applied to coat objects such as fridge feezers, window and door frames, outdoor furniture, bicycle frames, steel pipes, car rims and bumpers, computer equipment and electrical cable trays. Epoxy powders, acrylic powders and polyester powders are normally used for powder coating. Polyester powders have the charistics of in between the epoxy powders and the actylic powders being durable and the powder coat having a high resistance to yellowing at exposure to day light. Powder coating is normally applied by spraying the electrostatically powder through spray guns onto the workpiece.
